Heated exchange of words between TORC champions Greaves & Johnson elevates to a fight between the teams
“The most controversial TORC episode to date.” – says The Armory, tonight @ 6 p.m.
INDIANAPOLIS (Nov. 9, 2011) – After a poignant verbal confrontation between TORC PRO 4 Drivers Ricky Johnson and Johnny Greaves at Charlotte, the two are back at it again at the TORC Series' most physical track, Bark River International Raceway.
There is no love lost between the top two PRO 4 points leaders as they go into a weekend full of pointing fingers eventually leading to a brawl between their respective spotters. Emotions are high as the TORC title is in sight and each point becoming that much more meaningful. Don't miss the most controversial episode to date as the "Bark River Brawl" airs this Wednesday and Sunday only on Discovery's Velocity Channel. For his part Johnson is pumped with the TORC show on Velocity, adding “I’m excited about the coverage, quality and unbelievable footage. The in-depth approach gives TORC fans something you don’t normally witness in general race coverage, yet there’s still time to show the racing.
“And Oberg’s been great, saying stuff that none of the rest of us will. He’s had some of the most classic lines of the season,” added Johnson on TORC PRO 2 driver Mike Oberg.
Greaves has been equally impressed with the program, saying “So far the shows have been pretty interesting – without a doubt. This past week I was at SEMA and everybody was bringing it up.”
When asked if he was looking forward to seeing the Bark River TORC show in particular, Greaves said: “Bark River was definitely disappointing for us – a key turning point in the season.”
Tonight’s show will feature the infamous last lap/last turn get together between Greaves, leading at the time, and a charging Johnson. TORC fans can decide for themselves who was at fault – if anyone – in this game-changing turn of events.
