Belvidere, IL (July 23, 2012) - Scott Taylor made the quick trip down the road to Chicagoland Speedway with the #8 Miller Welders AMSOIL BFGoodrich Tires and along with the support of family and a large throng of fans, battled to another podium finish. The seven-time PRO champion continues to show the young guns of the sport how to get the job done.

The two night event was held in conjunction with the Nationwide/Camping World NASCAR weekend at the Chicago area facility and after two previous years of optimistic attendance, Scott Taylor and the TORC competitors competed in front of a packed house during both nights of racing.

The stadium style track was a totally new layout from short-course guru Jeff Nordstrom and to the delight of the drivers and fans it did not disappoint. The course consisted section, and moguls running through the infield straightaway, as well as two sections of jumps and back to back tight corners at the entrance and exit of the infield portion of the layout. The main straightaway included two fast high flying jumps and along with the rest of the layout, kept mostof the fans on their feet all night long.

Thursday Night - Round 7

The starting grid was set from the afternoon qualifying session and after inverting the top six qualifiers, the blue Miller Welders Ford lined up on the front row of the thirteen truck field.

Right from the start, Taylor was in the thick of the battle for a spot on the podium. During the fifteen lap event, the #8 Ford F-150 ran hard and steered clear of any serious contact to take a hard earned third place. On the podium the Belvidere, IL native thanked Travis (Pastrana) and Rob (MacCachern) for a great race and the fans that packed the grandstands.

The next day the crew went to work performing the usual between race check-up and prep work.

Friday Night - Round 8

The line-up had the Miller Welders AMSOIL Ford F-150 starting on the second row. When the green flag was waved, Taylor quickly moved into third place and held it to the midway mandatory caution lap. On the restart, the power steering began intermittently fail and then a tire went flat. This really made the race truck a handful to drive. This caused Taylor to make stop in the hot pits for a quick tire change. Eventually he reentered the race, but finished one lap down.

"Our Roush Yates motor has the power, the King Shocks are working great, the BFGoodrich tires are awesome and the AMSOIL product keeps everything working at their best" remarked Scott Taylor. "We had a great run Thursday and tonight, early on we had another one working, until the issues came up. My team - Donnie, Dylan and Jay are just awesome, look for us to get back on the box at Bark River."

Next race for Scott Taylor is August 11-12 @ Bark River International Off-Road Raceway in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
