Joel Whitted Signs-on to TORC Staff for the 2009 Season

Crandon, WI (May 3, 2009)-Traxxas TORC Series presented by AMSOIL has signed Joel Whitted, formally of Championship Off Road Racing. "Joel was a key component in event organization and success at CORR," stated Mitch Covington, CFO of TORC. "He brings knowledge and experience to the table and we are very confident that he will bring the onsite organization of TORC to the next level."

"Rick Johnson and I spent years racing Class 10 cars together racing in the desert. I am ecstatic to be working for TORC, and for someone who I believe can take Short Course Off Road Racing to the pinnacle of motorsports," stated Whitted. "I cannot wait to get to Texas and get the ball rolling on what I think will be a great 2009 season."

The Traxxas TORC Series-The Off Road Championship, presented by AMSOIL is the world's premier off road series, bringing together the best of Midwest short course off-road racing with exciting new Western State venues. TORC drivers push the limits with action-packed fender pounding on challenging natural terrain racetracks. The season kicks off May 15, 2009.
